Masha Neverova (b. 1985, Leningrad USSR, now St.Petersburg Russia) Lives and works in Tel Aviv (moved in 2016). She graduated from St.Petersburg Art School and earned her BFA from Russian Pedagogical University in 2011. From 2018-2019 she studied at the Free Workshops Contemporary Art School at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art. From 2020-2022, she received additional education courses at the Higher School Sreda obuchenia. Neverova participated in solo and group exhibitions in various galleries in Russia, Lithuania, and Israel. She is working with ritual, trauma, myth, and memory. She uses painting, graphics, embroidery, objects, clay, and performance. Her works are autobiographical, focusing on self-reflection and self-exploration. Neverova’s work was published in the Nordistica magazine for the Barents region artists. She attended In Print Art Book Fair in Jerusalem in 2021 and 2022, got 3rd place at the Golden Time Talent Festival, and a Special Merit prize at the online Northern Light Gallery Competition in 2022. Her work is included in many private collections in Russia and abroad. Her paintings are characterized by using brown craft paper with a lot of blacks.
